Sucam Company started by creating cacao export companies in Cameroon (South West Region) that work directly with farmers to produce high quality cacao, Quality Cocoa seed and we continue to invest in and support those companies today. Our U.S. and EU offices distribute cacao sourced from over 5,000 smallholder farmers across 12 countries to over 250 craft and premium chocolate makers globally. Across Sucam businesses, the company is pioneering a new cacao economy that pays farmers more and is grounded in real partnerships that deliver improved stability and success for all.

started its work in 2008 in Cameroon. Cacao to create meaningful market access for smallholder cacao farmers. After developing the country’s first centralized post-harvest facility and selling out of beans each year for four years, in 2012 Sucam company founded Cacao Verapaz in Ghana . These companies have brought reliable new income into rural cacao-producing economies by linking smallholder farmers to the specialty cacao industry, through meaningful market access and a focus on consistently delivering quality beans to discerning chocolate makers.

In 2016, Sucam Company grew further into the supply chain to drive maximum value to producer groups at origin while controlling more aspects of the quality and transparency from farm to factory. Sucam Company Source + Trade is our cacao distribution company based in Ghana ., with inventory on the east and west coasts. Sucam Company is our entity in Africa, with cacao stored in Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Cameroon sourcing, sales, and customer service for our partnerships with chocolate makers in the EU, UK, and beyond. The multi-national Sucam Company is operation enables us to collaborate with more producer groups on delivering the highest quality cacaos to bean-to-bar chocolate makers around the world, and provide added-value sourcing services to craft and premium chocolate makers and chocolatiers globally. Together, we are all building a more transparent, more delicious specialty cacao supply chain.
